Officers wear their rank of insignia on hard shoulder boards attached to the overblouse's epaulettes, while Enlisted personnel wear collar insignia. This overblouse is also authorized for wear by both Officers and Enlisted female Guardsmen with the Coast Guard Women's Service Dress Blue Bravo Uniform. When worn as part of the Class A Service Dress Uniform, the pointed ends of the collars must be visible a quarter- to a half-inch above the Service Dress Coat collars, and a properly sized Overblouse will have sleeves that end between a quarter- to a half-inch pass the wrists with the arms hanging naturally, but which are not visible when the Service Dress Coat is worn. A white, tucked-in undershirt (V-neck, crew neck, or athletic-style tank top) may optionally be worn with overblouse. It features epaulets for Officers’ shoulder marks, princess seams, and rounded cuffs with buttonhole closures (the overblouse may be modified at the Airman’s expense to accommodate cuff links).
